Designed to be easy to use and optimized for fishing enthusiasts, FishingScroll will help you store information about your fishing trips. It’s similar to a diary software, just that instead of storing intimate thoughts, you can use the application to store info about fishing locations, fishing buttons, fishing tacks, and fish species. You can use this info to recall past fishing trips, present fishing trips to friends, or plan your next big fishing adventure.

FishingScroll works with 32 as well as 64-bit editions of Windows, from Windows XP up to Windows 7. To get started with the fishing application, you must download a 1.2MB archive, extract the executable inside, run it, and follow the instructions presented by the setup wizard that shows up (it’s nothing more complicated than clicking Next a few times).

The dark-themed interface that FishingScroll has to offer seems to have been built with ease of use in mind. To get started, you must first create a diary, something you can easily do from File -> Diaries -> hit the plus button to create a new diary. On a bar at the top there are tabs for Trips, Fish Species, and so on. Click the plus button from the upper right hand corner to add a trip, a location, or a fish species. Adjust the application’s settings by hitting the Options button which is also in the upper right hand corner.

As I already mentioned above, you can use the FishingScroll application to store info about your fishing trips. There is a lot of info you can add about a trip and it’s grouped into four categories: Date & Location (specify where you went, when you went there, and whom you took with you), Weather & Water (enter info about weather and water conditions, such as water level, pressure, humidity, wind speed, and so on), Catch (specify what you caught; if you already added fish species into the application, you can choose from these species), Comments & Linked Files (type in the comments you want, add images from your trip).

Certain functions are limited in the trial version of FishingScroll. To remove these limitations, you will have to get a license.

Never again will you forget something important about your fishing trips, not with FishingScroll by your side.

Pros

FishingScroll works with 32 and 64-bit versions of the Windows operating system. It comes with a dark-themed and very easy to use interface. Add info about trips, tackle, locations, and fish species, view fishing statistics. Support for multiple profiles/users is provided. Comes with a built-in translation tool.

Cons

Limited functionality in the trial version.
